The free plan is a pretty sweet deal, but if you want the advanced functionality of fixing wordy sentences and passive voice (you do–trust) and checking for plagiarism, you need to go premium, which will set you back $139.95 annually. It also works inside Google docs and can be installed on your mobile phone. Grammarly has free browser extensions that will edit Facebook status updates, text messages, emails, you name it. I am a grammar nazi (descended from a long line of grammar nazis) and I swear by this app for catching every one of those wordsmithing errors I swear I don’t make.
